Checked in for updates and see the most recent version is now 8.8 up from 8.7. Are there any (major) changes or just versional breakdancing? (I think the last .x update from 8.6 to 8.7 was 4-5 years ago?)
Most of the changes fix version update recommendations. There are still users on OSX 10.12-10.14 whose systems are not compatible with the newer builds. b8.8.0.0 is for newer OS’s and legacy machines can continue to run b8.7.2.4

Thanks for the clear answer. Now I have understood the intent behind introducing b8.8.0.0.
