Added ‘pop over’ preview windows. Click the ‘eye’ button anywhere in the app (such as FX chains) to reveal a temporary preview window of the video stream at that point.
Added real-time previews for each layer & group to the Workspace Inspector > Layers tab.
Sound inputs throughout the app can now directly capture audio from any other applications (eg Safari, Music) without using virtual audio devices like BlackHole.
ISF audio visualizers can now directly receive audio data and FFTs from audio devices without using an Audio Analysis plugin.
Updates and improvements to the Fullscreen Output options panel including the ability to create multiple output groups and specify flip h/v on a per display basis.
Hello :) Running the 1.2.1 update. Grabbing audio from safari and other tools work fine the only issue I have right now is grabbing the audio straight from Bitwig. Not using any external audio card so all internal. If set Bitwig to system out I can grab the Bitwig audio via “all system output” so in a way it works :)
Exciting release! Is this using the new Apple Core Audio Taps?
Also I have been working with ProjectM on Linux a lot recently. Is PMS open-source? (Totally fine if it isn’t! You already give WAY more than your fair share to the community. And I believe since ProjectMLib is distributed as a library, frontends don’t need to be FOSS.)
I’ll note that the ProjectM dev has only recently gotten a MacBook and can now work on Mac stuff, I believe mostly he’s working on packaging, which probably doesn’t apply to ya’ll. But IDK, if you have any tips/tricks/hard lessons learned they have a discord, and I know they’d love your expert opinions, or on github issues.
Looks like ProjectMilkSyphon is Intel Macs / Rosetta2 only? Is this due to gnarly optimizations on Intel that would be hard to compile on Apple Silicon? (I’m not even sure ProjectM works on Apple Silicon )
