I will format my MacBook Pro (Retina, 15 inches, mid 2014) .NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2048 MB…and 16gb RAM.
The question is, for VDMX;
Do I continue with Sierra or upgrade to High Sierra?
As a general note, once an OS has been around for at least a few minor revisions, it is a good idea to update unless there are any specific known issues / conflicts to avoid; I mention this because generally we are doing development in the latest OS releases.
So far in testing VDMX there is only one small GLSL issue in 10.13.x that causes our LUT based FX to not render properly on certain hardware (specifically machines with the NVIDIA 650M / 750M GPUs). Unfortunately we could not find a work around for this, and though we had reported this to Apple when we first discovered it, I don’t think they’ve fixed it.
Otherwise I don’t think there are any particular issues to watch out for; I would be curious to hear about real world experiences from other people though.
It’s a shame. APPLE is shitting it for a long time.
