I’m doing local VJing in Portland, OR, here’s my controller setup and a screenshot of my layout! I write a lot of my own FX shaders and cut a lot of custom clips as well

A quick tour of my current setup!

Equipment and specs:

  • MacBook M1 Max with 64GB of RAM + 1TB internal SSD
  • Akai MPD226 (With an Elixir script to do some fancy MIDI grid customization!) to launch clips.
  • Cheap WORLDE EZ MIDI controller for FX and live adjustments.

Controllers:

Here’s a screenshot of my layout I drive at events:

And I run 2 copies of ProjectMilkSyphon so I can test and crossfade during a show. I do a lot of improvisation when performing so this makes it a lot of fun!

Hi, just sharing my current portable live setup (I’m based in France) :

• Two iPads running Open Stage Control, using OSC commands (two master layers, plus one for logos and one for camera).

• Two MIDI Fighter 3D controllers — one dedicated to Master FX, the other to Master Mask.

Have a maxed out M4 MacBook Pro running VDMX6 Plus and currently using the APC mini but will probably get the APC 40 MK2 soon .

Im a long term user of VDMX and with 6 Plus I mix my Touchdesigner projects with my rendered cinema 4d and after effects videos.

I VJ once a month locally and while learning Touchdesigner , I’m working on installation ideas and audio reactive art.
