How can I get the Randomize Num FX to only trigger once?
E.g. I want a trigger to occur and have the result be a single randomized value for the associated slider.
The way it currently functions, it seems to randomize twice before stopping. You can observe this by adding a data source of clock beat 1 or a keypress with a Num FX of Randomize.
It always seems to randomly hit one value then land on a second. I just want it to snap to a single new random value.
Yeah I am having a similar experience, but also seeing that the random values are being generated all by themselves rather than in time with a dedicated MIDI trigger.
I quite like the two step random FX, but yes a single step seems more logical.
An alternative method is to use a Step Sequencer with say a /Clock 1/MeasurePosition trigger on the Rnd button. That way the random steps can have a connection with your time sequence. The resolution of the randomness can be adjusted by changing the number of column and track rows. Plus you can MIDI control the Rate or drive it with FFT.
