I can use the two left and right side drop down menu on media bins to be triggered from one button(midi note /key etc) to instantly switch between tabbed media bins and their intended corresponding layer-
Is there a way to ‘sync’ this to also bring to the front the corresponding Source and Effects Panels- eg switch to media bin 3 and layer 3 and layer3 FX and Source panels? thanks Paul
Do you mean like adding a workspace preset or a page preset that also triggers from the same MIDI note?
Thanks– no just staying within the same workspace preset - I meant to include the screenshot - not sure if that would help explain- but practically I click a button on my midi controller to select a clip from its media bin from the tabbed Media Bins window - Each Media Bin has its own page of clips that are intended to go to a specific layer (with associated number/name for simplicity)- and wish for the Effects and Source Tabs to also pop to the front so that I can see them – and ideally for instance have midi controller buttons that go next/previous source or effect preset in the same selected layer..??
I think I understand what you are asking. You can choose a workspace preset to change the full UI layout, but in the options for the workspace preset you can have it ignore certain things, like change media. It’s under the restore settings. That would change the UI layout, but otherside those media bin changes are also just adjustments in the Media Bin pages, so you can do a page change and sync all of those other settings to the same MIDI button, but simply change a page instead of the media bin tab.
