I recently bought ISF for motion as I am finishing up a lot of shaders and trying out my options for piecing them into audio visuals for my music.
About a month ago when I bought them both they worked just fine, but I went back to my test project and it gives me missing generator errors for all of the ISF assets.
It also gives the same error if I make a new project from one of the ISF templates.
I am wondering if iCloud may have backed them up, so I tried hunting down any vidvox or isf folders that would be affected by this and found this one “VDMX Media” under what looks to be an old backup folder from my prior laptop
I am not sure where to look or how to get them to appear in the Library browser again as they had when I first installed
I tried running the ISF for Motion app again and it doesn’t do anything, and I don’t see any updates on the apple App Store or anything for motion or the ISF add on, though I may have unknowingly updated at some point.
I also just tried searching for one of the names of the missing ISF files, and the only ones that come up are backups from other supported ISF tools like Videosync for Ableton (which is badass) and Ossia, and the motion relevant looking files are folders with thumbnail pngs, a JSON file and a “.motr” motion file for the templates, im not sure where the shaders that appear to have disappeared are meant to be?
I just found a Motion ISF folder, and it’s empty, will try copying the default library there
EDIT/didn’t fix it
For what it’s worth, when I run ISF for motion app it crashes :
