I was seeing some weirdness with the color sampler (being used with the Duotone Filter) so I dropped a color swatch image into a media bin and did some testing. Much to my surprise, the color that is getting selected when using the sampler is not the one at the coordinate clicked in the preview, but rather at the coordinate with the same X position, and an inverted Y position.
Running VDMX 1.2.6 on macOS Tahoe 26.2 - I don’t believe this is a Tahoe related issue. Included a screenshot, and the color palette used for testing below.
Repro steps:
- Add Duotone FX, click “Sample” above color
- Drop the attached color palette into a media bin and sample it at various points from a preview window.
Expected result: The color at the coordinate clicked in a preview window is picked.
