Blackmagic output precision and full range

Hello. I’m evaluating VDMX for use in a live video processing pipeline, using SDI input and output with a Decklink 8K Pro.

  1. Is there any way to make the Blackmagic output full-range 4-1019? The output is currently limited to 64-940 legal range, even when I choose RGB 4:4:4 in Desktop Video Setup.

  2. Is there a way to make the Blackmagic output 12-bit instead of 10? I know the hardware is capable of this.

  3. Can you share some details on the bit depth of the image processing pipeline? I’m measuring the SDI output on a scope, and seeing it jump in increments of 4 code values, which suggests VDMX is rounding down to 8-bit precision, but I’m not sure where this happens or if it can be changed. The issue is banding on gradients.
