Anyone tried Sensei + it's 3D integrations?

Fascinated by the more abstract 3D integrations with this…
Requires Ableton Live 11+, and Max for Live…

Create real-time 3D visuals, with Ableton Live, powered by Unreal Engine”

“With SenSei, you create immersive 3D visuals directly from Ableton Live, powered by Unreal Engine. SenSei is both an application and a suite of plug-ins that integrate seamlessly into your creative workflow. Experience the creative power of Unreal Engine, made effortlessly accessible, no programming required.”

”Drop the SenSei plug-ins into your Live set and start building 3D scenes instantly. Each plug-in offers a wide range of parameters, letting you create visuals, mix video, and push the boundaries of audiovisual performance… all in real time.

Add cameras, sculpt lights, particle systems, add 3D models, 3D text, and 3D video effects to bring your ideas to life and design entire scenes with musical precision.

Mix video and use 3D Video FX

Add as many video planes to your scene as you like and stream video onto them directly from EboSuite or any other app that supports Syphon or Spout (e.g., Resolume, VDMX, TouchDesigner).

Nearly every SenSei plug-in supports video input, creating new and exciting ways to mix and manipulate video. And for even more depth SenSei includes a suite of dedicated 3D FX tools. SenSei integrates seamlessly with EboSuite, for advanced video sampling, live camera input and ISF shaders.”

I have it and I tried to use it but creating 3D with an Ableton plugin panel is annoying. It also doesn’t output in high resolution. I’m sure that with enough patience someone can make something useable but I gave up on it. The regular Ebosuite is pretty great if you already have Ableton, though. There are bugs but it’s a quick way in to video with Live.

Hey Josh, nice to see you back, I really enjoy your IG channel w/ your PG stuff.

You’re the first person I’ve heard try Ebosuite. Any idea how it compares to apps/plugins like Videosync?

Hi, and thanks. I haven’t spent much time with Videosync but it looks like a good option for Abelton users. It looks like Videosync’s Simpler doesn’t handle audio as well as Ebosuite. In Ebosuite, you link an “eSimpler” with Ableton’s stock Simpler and it automatically pairs the two so that the audio syncs with the video. In Videosync, you sort of have to do that manually but that can get messy with slicing. In my experience, Ebosuite is inconsistent in how it handles opacity information between its Simpler and Sampler modules and what it outputs to Syphon and its dedicated viewer.

Thanks Josh!

“creating 3D with an Ableton plugin panel is annoying.”

I installed the Zwobot video fx plugins for ableton a long time ago, and yeah, found the plugin panel annoying just for that…

Would ideally prefer that kind of instrument-like access to 3D/unreal engine, outside of ableton…
Now that madmapper has timelines, there seems scope for crude-animating 3D over time…

“It also doesn’t output in high resolution.”
oh : what’s the sensei output resolution? I couldn’t see anything about output restrictions on their site..

thanks!
