Incrementing a value with a key stroke

This would seem to be really simple, but I can’t find a good way to do it. I want to set up a slider in VDMX to increment by a fixed amount every time I hit a key. In this case, it’s move a static image up or down by one pixel with the arrow keys. It seems like the “Ratchet” Quartz plugin would have served this purpose in the past, but I can’t seem to find it anywhere now and the original message board posts about it have been deleted.

Right now I can only do this by making a video with the change I want frame-by-frame, and using the frame advance feature in the playback window, but it’s not ideal! Or else changing the value manually each time.

Anyone have a good solution? Thanks!

Here is the quartz ratchet plugin

Thanks so much!

Now, this seems like a dumb question, but how do I install it? I moved it to Library/Graphics/Quartz Composer Plug-Ins but it’s not showing up within VDMX yet.

I realize that some quartz functionality may have been phased out, so I also found a vuo copy of Ratchet, but I have absolutely no idea where to put that in order for VDMX to pick it up.

Macintosh HD/Library/Graphics/Quartz Composer Plug-Ins

There is 2 libraries so make sure its in the correct one
