Hello everyone,
Trying to use the output from the Rhodopsin app window on my laptop as an input but can’t seem to do so. When I enable the window input feature and select the Rhodopsin app I either get a black screen or the full window / app but can’t seem to just select the actual part I want which is where the visuals are happening.
If I change the crop numbers, nothing happens except displaying the full window from a black screen when I set them all to 0…
Any ideas?
What version of VDMX are you using? You could also ask the develop to support syphon, but it looks like VDMX is seeing the application as a single window. Depending on which version you are using, there might be a bug with the windows capture crop.
vdmx6 plus Version 1.1.8 (1.1.8)
For the time being you could use a simple 2 layer setup. Layer 1 brings in the entire window and applies the desired crop, and layer 2 inputs the Layer 1 with FX window, and outputs to whatever you want next.
I’m not able to get the crop to work in the built in Crop tool within “Windows in other Applications” interface.
Yes, that is a bug, so for the time being, you can use a crop FX on another layer as mentioned above.
